A regular commentator on NPR's All Things Considered, David Watts has published three books of poetryand organized the "Writing the Medical Experience" workshops at the Squaw Valley Community of Writers and at Sarah Lawrence College.

A 1966 graduate of Baylor College of Medicine, Dr. Watts, a gastroenterologist, lives in Mill Valley, California.

He will discuss his latest book: Bedside Manners: One Doctor's Reflections on the Oddly Intimate Encounters between Patient and Healer.
